That’s a great photo in my mind. A great photo not in itself but a great photo for what it represents. It’s a mistake. Being an optimist I appreciate it as an overexposed mistake. In an alternative universe I’d have had the exact same camera set in auto and you’d be able to make out John, my octogenarian neighbour who’d just asked me to go to McDonald’s for his lunch. The composition wouldn’t be as good, but you would be able to make him out. I offered him some carrots / potatoes

I’ve been taking a lot of these photos the idea of looking up is a wonderful metaphor because it’s logically onomatopoeic. I mean if you actually look up (at clouds) things start looking up ie you make yourself happy. Another great thing is that by focusing on very distant objects you exercise your .
